CIDI and CONGIC

CIDI

CIDI, the Information Design International Conference, and CONGIC, the National Conference of Undergraduate Research in Information Design, are biennial scientific events organized together by SBDI. They aim to contribute to the development of Information Design by promoting and facilitating cooperation among professionals, lecturers and researchers, and by encouraging students' interest in Information Design, supporting their professional and intellectual education.

To contact the CIDI organizers, write to cidi@sbdi.org.br.

Information Design International Conference

  • To discuss the state of the art of Information Design in Brazil and abroad;
  • To promote exchange and closer ties among researchers working in Information Design in Brazil and abroad;
  • To disseminate Brazilian and international scientific work in Information Design; and
  • To contribute to the consolidation of Information Design in Brazil.

The editions

CIDI has had 12 editions, from 2003 to 2025. Each card links to the edition's website, its proceedings and its papers in the CIDI Observatory. The websites are kept on SBDI's own site, from the Internet Archive copies: navigation works as it did, but forms and registrations do not, and some pages and images were not saved.

Awards

SBDI presents two awards to papers presented at the conferences: the Guilherme Cunha Lima Award, for the best CIDI paper, and the Young Researcher Award, for the three best CONGIC papers.
